Path to Heart Surgery
Hello All, We’ve put together a blog on the web to keep you all informed about Franz’ upcoming heart surgery pre-scheduled for June 13th. We’ve done this to minimize phone calls, texting, emails, etc. to keep this manageable for Nancy/Peter. We appreciate your interest and concern and we thank you for your healing thoughts in advance. The web address for the blog is FranzHeart2022.blogspot.com Thanks, Franz Franz pre-scheduled for open heart surgery on June 13th with Dr. V (Venkataraman) at PeaceHealth Riverbend Hospital in Eugene. Scheduled surgery is “Open Heart” (1) bypassing/grafting 2 coronary arteries, (2) replacing the aortic valve with a bioprosthetic valve, (3) two other procedures to address atrial fibrillation. Anticipated time in surgery is 4-6 hours, ICU at least one day post surgery, discharge from hospital 4-5 days from admission, of course this schedule is soft.
